Sour Curry with cactus and green papaya
It's been a while, since my last blog about homemade dinner. Now the dinner is back! I have to tell you guys that, I have a few set of dinner pictures to blog. I can't blog them all down in one day. I have handful of works to do as well. Busy working is better than No work to do, Right ?. Freelancer like me will understand what I mean. Right on, we back to food, who still haven't tried this cactus please think again. To make this curry, the cactus blend well, we both love eating them!! However, a few people might allergic to it, please try a little bit before you eat them a lot!!!! I cooked once for my friend, and he does allergic to it, Not severe, just enough to put him off Cactuses. Please bear in mind!!
I added sweet potatoes into my sour curry too
This was my castus sour curry looked like
I made this sudried fish
I fried the fish, it went well with the curry! You all know it does!!!
Here you are,,, my set of Dinner. Enjoy it with your eyes. Castus is good to eat, I tell you!
Dessest of that day was my home made thick yoghurt. Summer is the best time to make it, I like it thick and silky. Once again, making your own Yoghurt guys. Lots of the web's member making their own as well. It is cheap to make, and it is good for you!!!
I always eat my thick Yoghurt withfrest fruits and honey, that time was fresh mango. Mangoes go well with sweet Yoghurt.

ที่รักของคุณตุ้ยทำกับข้าวเก่งมั้ยคะ....ธรรมดาแล้วครอบครัวนี่ถ้าพ่อบ้านทำกับข้าวเก่ง แม่บ้านต้องทำไม่่เก่ง ถ้าทำเก่งทั้งสองคนจะบ้านแตกค่ะ คิๆๆ เพราะแย่งกันทำ คนทำกับข้าวเก่งมักจะชื่นชอบฝีมือตัวเอง คุ้นกับรสมือตัวเองมากกว่า ต่อให้เจ้าอร่อยเจ้าอื่นก็ต้องหาเรื่องติจนได้ ไม่อ่อนเปรี้ยว ก็อ่อนหวาน อ่อนเค็ม คนเรากินรสชาติไม่เหมือนกันอยู่ที่ว่าใครคุ้นกับรสชาติแบบไหน จริงๆ ไม่มีใครทำกับข้าวเก่งหรอกค่ะ ขึ้นกับว่าถ้าทำให้ถูกลิ้น ถูกใจคนกินก็จะอร่อย
คุณขยันดัดแปลงอาหารนะคะ แต่บางทีทำกินมากๆ บ่อยๆ ก็เบื่อเหมือนกัน ทั้งเบื่อทำและเบื่อกิน บางทีอยากกินมื้อนึงแล้วอิ่มไปสามวัน จะได้ไม่ต้องกินบ่อยๆ เสียเวลา เดี๋ยวหิว ๆ บางทีบ่นกับเพื่อนๆ ว่า "เฮ้ย..ใครมันกำหนด(วะ)ว่าคนต้องกินข้าววันละ 3 เวลา"

Thanks Slowlife, That was not right Slowlife. my honey is far better cook than I am. She teach me her country's food too. You know what, why we never complain about each other food. the food we cook is base on our country food whic we don't really understand what a companion food should be like. We do comment on each other tates. That is because we just want to make it better. She always cooks western food and her country food for me. I can't cook as good as hers in those cuisine. In Thai cuisine, I'm the boss. We are a bunch of food lover. last years, we gave up wine collecting. Dus to, we take on a mortgage. Still now, we don't open bottles of good wine!!! You know, we just have a look every now and then, that make the wine last longer than we drink them. We save them in a special place where we controll its temparature!!! We also drink them in specil occasion.
At our wedding, we oppened our 10 years old "babis" up and to cerabrate them with all our close friends and famillies, she was crying, after sipped a glass of that wine. I don't think anybody know why she was crying. I knew, early on that day One of a waiter broke one bottle of our "baby" before we had even shared. She told me that the wines were really important to her and us , because we bought them on our first trip together , and not for long after that we started to live together!!!
I don't know why I share those with you, just wanted to tell you that our love is build on food and drinks !!!!
I might have to eat less. I'm too fat now. I want to live longer to enjoy more of our life.

A full dinner set
Hi! Bro Tui, it seems like you had a nice and terrific Thai dinner with your Missus again. I believe all the food is tasty and delicious, and full of pride since it is a real handmade by both of you. That mixed veggies sour curry is so creative with cactus leave as a hero and sweet potato as heroine. I have never cooked my sour curry with any kinds of potatoes before. Seeing from yours, I think we are very stick to the very typical mixer of any kinds, veggies and meat. The fried sundry fish also looks really good like made it from Thailand. Finally a rescipe of yoghurt with honey and pieces of mangoes is going to be my next dessert. Yummy! Just one more sugggestion to you, :love: next time pls try to have candle light in your dining room too.
Lastly I think there are many people, including me would like you to give us rescipes of homemade yoghurt, and pizza dough and also sauce in your next bolg. Any time in your convenince, thank you in advance.

Thanks Sis, We love to eat good food. When I was earning more than now. We liked to go to a nice restaurant to eat. Our favourite restaurant is quite expensive. We don't have kids so that time we still can afford to eat there one or twice a week. Hardly, you saw me around the kitchen. She was in charge of cooking. I work from home now. I earn less, Our marriage gains more. We are quite happy with the income we have. We still can enjoy our oversea holiday. We just have to live on a budget that's all. In order to live on the budget, we try to eat at home and stop going out at night with friends. When you have less activity to do in the evening, we start to enjoy cooking even more. I cook good Thai food that I like to eat. She cook her food and Western food for me. We invite close friends over to our dinner. we go over to there house. It have been like this since I quit my full time job. Live is much better this way. However, I eat more that is not good for me
You know that, Right? I can not grow water loving vegetables. That is also one reason why I have to cook with what I can grow aroud my house. Then, I chop and change the recipe to suit my plantable veggies.
My mom always said when I asked her, why she did not cook the way Nana cooked. She told me that , the way she did was not available for Nana to use back then, If Nana had what my mom had , She will did the same as my mom. For example, my grandma grated coconut by hand, my mom used food processer! my grandma always dried meat or fish untill really dry , my mom did not , she put half dried products in a freezer instead, she said it is taste better. My mom tried to cook traditional Thai cuisine with latest technology available. She migh put those idea into my head while I was with her. That is why, I like to think out of the square when in come to Thai cooking. Beside, I don't really know how to cook the traditional Thai cuisine. What I make is what I like to eat, I like thick sour curry and the curry go well with sweet taste then I put sweet potatoes to make it thick and sweet with out adding any sugar. The cactus is sour then it goes well with all the sour food!! I sometimes put sweet potatoes in my red curry to reduce my coconut milk used,
The candle light is too hot Sis, We might do it in winter !! Try my way of eating yoghurt, and tell me what do you think of it!
I try to blog the yoghurt things today. Many people did that already in their own way. I show you how I did. The pizza and its sauce, I have to ask my missus. I write the whole blog again when she make them next time!
