ปาปิโน่ Papino ( solanum muricatum)

Although Papino might look like a veggie, it is actually a fruit. It is a close relative of tomatoes and egg plants. I have got the first plant since last Christmas and It only beared me 2 small fruits. However, this is the first year I grow them. That's right, I use plural in the previous sentence; I have 2 of them now and we love eating them so much!! ถึงแม้ว่าปาปิโน่จะดูเหมือนผัก แต่จริงๆแล้ว มันเป็น ผลไม้ครับ ปาปิโน่ เป็นญาติ ของ มะเขือเทศ และ มะเขือลูก ผมได้ต้นแรกมาตั้งแต่ คริสมารต์ ปีที่แล้วและ ต้นนั้น ก็ให้ลูกมาแค่ สองลูก เล็กๆ ยังไงก็ตามปีนี้เป็น ปีแรกที่ปลูกมันทั้งสองต้น ใช่ครับตอนนี้ผมมีอีกต้นแล้ว และ เราสองคนก็ ชอบทานผลของมันมาก

I plant the first tree next to my hot water tank to keep the plant warm during the winter times. I grew tropical plants next to the tank like this before and it worked well at my previous place. For your information, hot water tanks in here are outside of the house. ผมปลูกต้นปาปิโน่ต้นแรกที่ได้มาถัดจาก ถังทำน้ำร้อน เพื่อให้ ไอร้อน ของถังช่วยให้ความอบอุ่น ต้นไม้ในหน้าหนาว ผมปลูกไม้ เมืองร้อนแบบนี้มาก่อน และได้ผลดีที่บ้านเก่า ขอมูลเล็กน้อย กันงง ถังทำน้ำร้อน ที่นี่ อยู่นอกตัวบ้านครับ 

รสของปาปิโน่นั้น หวานหอมเหมือน เมลล่อน แต่ เนื้อเหมือนมะเขือเทศ แปลกๆ แต่อร่อยดี Papino tastes sweet and aromatic like melons but its texture is similar to tomatoes. It's a weird fruit, but we love it!
